Typically 8 weeks. We are openly recruiting for interns that are able to start in the summer or fall. We are flexible based on your schedule and internship requirements. Longer internships are also available.

Is this a paid internship?

No. The internship is unpaid. However, you will gain valuable skills and experience, and professional references. We can work with your school to help fulfil any credit requirements. Additionally, you will develop real-world marketing materials that will be used immediately. Successful artifacts will help build your portfolio.

Schedule:

Typically 10-15 hours per week depending on your internship needs. Schedules are flexible.  We can adjust based on your requirements.

Job Description:

We are looking for a part-time marketing intern to support our business development. You will work with our intern coordinator and possibly with other interns in small teams.This internship is perfect for business majors, marketing majors, or communication majors. However, all majors are welcome to apply. Interns must be at least a 2nd year in university. Due to the virtual aspect of this internship, we are seeking self-motivated and friendly individuals with a passion for working with people. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare marketing materials (digitally)
  • Participate in meetings for planning and discussions of targets
  • Develop communication skills by working with internship coordinator and possibly other interns
  • Learn and understand the unique needs of international business and differences in the preferred marketing style in different cultures (especially Japan, China, and Spanish speaking world)
  • Use specific tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc) for virtual meetings
  • Use design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc) for creation of marketing materials
  • Determine if marketing is the correct career path for you
  • Develop planning and organizational skills related to work projects
  • Conduct market research and sample different methods used by competitors

Academic Outcomes:

  • Apply marketing theory in real-world business scenario
  • Develop professionalism including communication, workflow review processes, and attention to detail
  • Analyze different approaches used in marketing in various cultures
